With the positive impact on more than 20 students who received cash subsidies under the "Shine Our Way" Fund in 2022/23, we are keen to continue supporting the six secondary schools in the Western districts of the New Territories this year. 
 
We hope to support more students with urgent financial needs and those who do not receive adequate care under their primary caretakers.

We are appealing to your generous support for this meaningful program. 
 
The total estimated budget is $300,000.
​
- The Emergency Hardship Fund is a one-time cash subsidy to provide immediate support to needy students 
 who face sudden and imminent financial threats and even homelessness.  We will review the cases           recommended by social workers in schools and provide funds starting May 2023.
​
- Basic Daily Needs Fund is a cash subsidy of $1500 for students who are deprived of proper care and support at     home.
​
- The Talent/Skill Development and Special Academic Needs Fund: each student receives cash of $1500   maximum per month for 10-12 months.
​
- The Best Improvement Awards are given to two students per school, $2000 each.
​
- Urgent Educational Tools include the replacement of iPad, laptops, and other essential devices for their studies.
​
- Special Team Interest Development allows students to be exposed to a sport or arts program they never have a    chance to try.
