Christmas Fair, Caritas Family Integrated Service Centre, Shaukiwan

Background
Christmas was approaching, but with the severe restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, there were hardly any festive celebrations, especially for deprived children of low-income families. With the support of social workers at the Shaukiwan Family Centre, we organised a Christmas Fun Fair on December 10, 2021.
More than 120 children and parents were welcomed by stations for face painting, Christmas cookie decorating, singing Christmas songs, and photo-taking. The most exciting moment came when Santa Claus appeared to give Christmas presents to everyone. Children jumped up and down, cheering and joyfully shouting when they received the unexpected gifts.
